The Delhi
comic art workshop was held in conjunction with the Indian Habitat Centre as well
as The Viveka Foundation and India’s Habitat, Brussels. Twenty seven people
participated in the class including students of art, professionals in the area
of art or illustrating, and those with a general interest in learning about a
new medium.
Articles
on the workshop appeared in the Hindustan Times as well as First City magazine

We
encourage all those who attended to send in their work to us at The Viveka
Foundation. Work sent in will be displayed on our website and will help us both
to hold future workshops and to recommend you for graphics work in the future.
Many of you
told us that your favourite part of the workshop was being able to meet other
artists and be inspired by their work and ideas. We hope that our space on the
web will allow you to continue with that aspect of the workshop. You will be
able to put up your work and receive feedback from other aspiring comic strip
artists who attended the workshops – and perhaps be noticed by other artists
from around the globe!
Some
work from the Delhi workshop is included below:
Ravijeet
Singh - Spirit of the Forest adaptation
Mohit
Suneja - Pabuji adaptation
If
you have access to a scanner, you can email your work through to Tom (email tom
[at] vivekafoundation.org) or mail / drop it off to our office in Sharpurjat:
